On February 9, 2021, the Friends of NIEHS held a virtual congressional briefing on Building Resilience in a Changing World: The NIEHS' Response to Wildfires, Hazardous Materials Incidents, and Other Disasters Before and During COVID-19.
On September 24, 2019, the Friends of NIEHS held a congressional briefing in the U.S. Senate, A Healthy Start for Every Child: How the Environment Influences Child Health and Development and a congressional reception in the U.S. House to honor retiring NIEHS Director Linda Birnbaum, Ph.D.
On October 10, 2018, the Friends of NIEHS held a successful U.S. Congress briefing on child health entitled, A Healthy Start for Every Child: How the Environment Influences Health and Development.
